STAR HOCKEY ACADEMY
Seattle’s only education based hockey academy, competing in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). The CSSHL provides a pathway for athletes to advance to junior, collegiate, and professional levels. Along with competing in the CSSHL, STAR is a Tier 1 National Bound Program, competing at the highest level of youth hockey in the country.
With top-tier coaches and a high-performance environment, athletes receive individualized training focused on skill development, hockey IQ, and team systems—all designed to elevate their game. Players practice 4-5 times a week, depending on their game schedule.
Off-ice training includes strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and recovery protocols. Programs are tailored to each athlete’s physical development to ensure peak performance and durability.
A strong academic foundation is essential. STAR supports student-athletes with a full-year academic program that prioritizes flexibility, accountability, and long-term educational success.
EDUCATION
STAR players attend Kennedy High School which is a private four-year, co-educational college-preparatory school serving students in grades 9–12. The school offers a strong academic program focused on preparing students for success in college and beyond. STAR players benefit from small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and adjusted schedules to accommodate the rigorous hockey programs.
